I will no longer be updating my scripts

Ikariam staff has banned me. I really have no reason why. I have sent in a ticket, but I really don't care anymore.

All in all, I can not take it anymore. The staff "thinks" they are trying to help, but they will always end up banning innocent people. And because of the threat they give us all for banning, I will no longer be playing. Even if they reinstate my account, but I will let you all know if that does happen which I doubt, cause they are NAZIs.

I have argued over and over with BFF about how ridiculous some of the rules are, but both GF and the ikariam staff, do not care one bit. You can say all you want, but in the end, you just like the power given to you. How do I know? because it doesn't make the game any better for some of the rules. And are you getting paid? NOPE, your not. So it is all about the control and power given to you.

I will not be deleting any of my scripts from the server, so you all can use them freely, but in any update I will not be updating my scripts. I also will not be helping anyone to update them, as ikariam staff has squeezed me out of this community.

I would like to say, that there are a few "good" Staff members, but would rather not name them here.

I hope you all find another game to play rather then this game. Reason for me staying so long was the community, and now you guys ruined that too. Good bye

This is the staff fault as usual.

I know many innocent players who got banned for either not knowing the rules or a mistake that was not corrected.

Out of 5 stars I would give the staff as a whole 1, one only because there are a few good ones, otherwise 0.

I wish someone would join the staff that actually cares about ikariam or a CoMa that actually reads the boards and picks better mods.

Im thinking of leaving ikariam and joining another game called fly for hero that my friend plays(i don't know much about it) but Im going to wait untill they ban me(as if they wont just decide to one day)

Also ikariam owes me 14c for the ambrosia I spent on the arcive feature that the CR got deleted in. :6:

I found out why I got banned, and I told them way before about this issue. But they just disregarded it. So now there will be 8 spots wasting space forever.(ambrosia in my account)

Unfortunately, another stupid rule made by Ikariam(GF) is that I can not talk about bans here on the boards, so that is all the info I can give you all. I hate to say it, but I recommend everyone going to a place where there is REAL customer Support, especially for paying members. They treat you badly here when it comes to paying members.

LOL that reminds me of this one time!

My wife used to play WoW, and one day, she got an email saying her payment had been processed. She hadn't played for three months, she had been busy! Her account was not automatically subscribing each month, no, it was inactive at the time!

So she contacted Blizz support three different times, spoke with three different reps, and all three reps said that they didn't think it was an issue - that as far as they cared, hey, she gets a free month on someone else's dime, cool fun happy good times!

Three weeks later her account is turned off, she is called 6x a day by collections, and is sent a stack of nasty letters claiming that she was committing fraud and that she was to overnight them the $14.99 plus a handling fee and a reinstatement fee, by money order, or they would permanently delete her account and disable her product keys for both WoW and WoW:BC.

And this is for the person with three separate notes on her account notifying them of the suspicious payment!!!!

So she never reactivated her account, and hasn't played WoW since. As a result of the mishap, I also cancelled my subscription, as did my neighbor and three work friends. That's 6x $14.99 = $90 a month that Blizzard is missing out on.

The moral of this story is, it's really easy to piss off your clientele - So you should always research first, ban second!!!


I know it's easy to take it lightly when volunteering for a cause, especially when the company gets bleeding rich off of your clients, but you never see the fruits of that money. But... well, that's why I intentionally did not volunteer for a role in the community. I still have my mod application half filled-out in my drafts folder, I should delete that.

I'm really beginning to think it has nothing or very little to do with Gameforge at all. I think certain people have made this their little playground to do as they please, when they please. I just can't see any functional company having absolutely zero regard for customer needs. I know a company has to make a stand, but to literally ignore our calls is ridiculous. If it was one person, that's griping, but look around the boards and in-game, it's hundreds of us, that's a problem.

Maybe I misread what OP stated, but it seems to me he though you were one of the problems, or unwilling to help with the problem. Why don't you change your mind?

I'm afraid the goofy rulings and poor CS is why I quit doing sigs, alliances pages and the whatnot. All the bugs in a game that's a year old (so all bugs should be worked out by now)is also a reason I won't buy Ambrosia.

LOL. You've never read other GF games' forums have you? Bitefight, Kings Age, Tribalwars, Gladiatus, oGame, each and every GF game forum has a big argument/crisis every few months, just like the one we're having right now.

Just a few weeks ago, on the oGame forum, it was the introduction of "Free Dark Matter" by doing so many of those stupidly lame "fill-out-survey-then-buy-this-magazine" offers, in exchange for not having to pay cash for Dark Matter (Their Ambrosia). A bunch of people were angry, some people left, others complained, and eventually it just went away, just like every past bug we've lived with, we are angry for a few days then we become complacent and quit moaning about the bug.

The cycle will always continue. New wave of players come, buy premium features, realize the game is broken, then quit. New wave enters. Then the next one. If one game becomes unprofitable, they replace it with another slapped-together game with a new skin on it. (Some days I swear they even bought Travian's code from them in order to come out with Kings' Age, because it is functionally the same game.)

The point is, it's rinse repeat, there doesn't have to be CS provided to us, because if we buy ambrosia then leave, they still get the money. The only way to "stick it to the man" is to play this game 24/7 and never give them a dime. Then you are an expense, not a revenue.

Uh. I was not involved in this ban at all. I didn't even know he was banned until I read this thread. ^^
