Troops scattered while just sitting in allied town with Garrison Rights?

Troops scattered while just sitting in allied town with Garrison Rights?

I had troops and ships in an ally's town waiting for my next orders. Then I get the message "Your units in *** do not have the deployment right any more and are being scattered" and they are gone. Nothing happened to that town, the player was offline, and I gave no commands.

Any ideas what caused this? I'm assuming they will show up sooner or later, or are they gone gone?

should show up in a few hours i'd like to find out more about why they dispersed too

did he hit inactive status and you get booted from town
did the town get hit and your troops leave him there to die alone

maybe one of those happened or something else entirely

The exact same problem occurred with me and another member of my alliance, the same message too, and no there was no battle neither the member went inactive or anything like that. they just scattered. and apparently it's appearing a bit often, so we need to know why or if it was actually a bug that needs to be fixed, since in the feature of V3.1 it says unlimited time to Garrison.

I had the same thing happen to me. It happened right after I canceled a garrison right with another person. I would understand them scattering if I was stationed in the town with the canceled treaty but I was not.

I had the same thing happen to me.. troops scattered from an alliance members town.

The missing troops did return 4hrs and 20mins later.. as there were no transports waiting for them... they turned out to be REALLY GOOD swimmers...

I had canceled a trade treaty just prior to this with a different alliance member.

Another ally's troops were able to stay in the town though....

My troops really suck at swimming because it took them 16+ hours to return. It was nice not to have to pay the upkeep for my military for those 16hrs.

Canceled trade treaty caused stationed troops to loose garrison rights to an allied town. This is the second time this has happened.

I find that a REPEATABLE and thus FIXABLE bug.

This bug really messed me up. I was doing a 2 to 3 round attack. Half my troops were in battle and the other half got scattered. Whhhhhhhhyyyyyy???? THis is a nasty bug and needs to be fixed asap. It comletely ruins the game play and anytype of strategy. Your troops can be scattered at anytime with no warning. and totally ruins the game play.

This happened to me too, and it happened the same second that a cultural treaty with a person on the same island that I was pillaging was removed (tossed into the sea removal).

This has also happened to me- My troops have scattered and something about garrison rights. 1)There was no battle. 2)Ally was offline at the time my troops were scattered. and apprently the other players stationed had no problems.3)canceled no treaty of any sort. This seems to be a ridiculous bug. I have no clue what happened. and all my military advisor tells me is there are this many troops missing.
It has been over 17 hrs now and no return, it is nice not paying upkeep though for the missing troops. i havent made this much gold in a while.

This is something that happens quite frequesntly, it happens to me everytime my troops are stationed elsewhere for more than 24 hours.

Sometimes there is a peace that can only be found on the other side of war...

I am. I spent 400k gold to send my troops 13 hours away to an alliance members' town.

At least it didn't charge me for the return trip, must be those frequent pillage miles

Well I had the same thing happen to me, and guess what we lost a battle because of it!

But anyway at least I wasn't charged for 5K GS worth of upkeep during that time that they returned, I was positive for a while, lol.
