Ikariam.Com Infraction Policy

Due to an upgrade to the boards, we are once again altering our infraction policy, this is effective immediately, we are using a similar warning system to that of WBB2.

Verbal Warnings:
As of November 1st 2009, Verbal warnings are reserved for newer members, IE those with fewer than 50 posts. A verbal warning is something that will be edited at the end of your post by a moderator and will look something like this:

Verbal Warning - Spam - You may only post CRs in a CR thread ~ Holowugz

Verbal Warnings are temporary warnings that will be set for a time of 30 days. They will not count towards a ban, however if you breach the same rule again after receiving the verbal warning, you will receive a full warning.

Warnings:
Warning are an official recording on your profile and visible on the board pillory saying what rule you broke and what thread you broke it on. They are for obvious or blatant violations of the board rules and count toward your being banned from the boards. We tend use every fourth warning (4.8.12 etc..) as placement for the ban, however a ban may be placed by a SMod or Admin at anytime for violation of the board rules.

Who can place Warnings?
Moderators, Super Moderators and Administrators are all empowered to place warnings.

I think my warning has been placed incorrectly, who do I speak to?
First of all you should remember that it is against the board rules for ban/warn discussion. To debate a warning you need to PM the Moderator who issued the warning against you. They will explain the reasoning for your warning. If you disagree you may speak to their SMOD. In extreme cases, you may speak to an Administrator, however the Administrator is the final word for all board Warning Appeals:

Board Rules however, also keep in mind that each section may have individual section rules. These will be marked as a sticky at the top of each forum.
