Becoming a Game Operator
If you're interseted in becoming a Game Operator, applications are now OPEN.
Only serious applicants please, while being a GO is a blast - it's also a very big responsibility and not to be taken lightly.

-> What are the responsibilities & requirements of the Game Operators?
- Be at least 18 years of age with a valid picture ID (for legal purposes)
- Have a lot of time to devote to the position, including the IRC channel(s) (At least a couple of hours a day)
- Be helpful, respectful and reasonable - the most important job of a GO is to help the players!
- Keep their servers clean and check that the players are following the rules, and banning when the rules are broken
- Knowledge of the game and its rules is a must - board AND game rules!
- Be able to work as a team and receive constructive criticism if necessary

- A minimum of 500 words - Applications that do not meet this requirement will be automatically rejected
- Why you think you'd make a good GO and what prompted you to apply in the first place
- How you can fulfill our requirements and responsibilities
- Your Ikariam experience, as well as any experience in other communities, including servers you play (or used to play)
- If you've been banned, what for (boards and ingame both)
- Some brief information about your RL life, your personality.. anything you find relevant

- Go to http://support.ikariam.com
- Click Contact Support
- Choose Game from the drop down menu
- As the server pick UNKNOWN
- As the subject type GO Application
- If you fail to read these instructions, your application will be automatically declined. So please submit it properly.
If you don't have a VERY good understanding of the rules please do not apply. (You will be quizzed!)
